This is going to be a tough placement, since they need a home with no other dogs, AND need to stay together as well...if I were dogless, I'd be on my way to Kokomo right now, because I'm a soft touch for senior dogs, and at twelve, it's not likely to be more than a three or four year commitment.

If nothing else comes of this post, PLEASE make sure you've got provisions made for your dogs in the event anything happens to you--and if your family or friends say 'Don't worry, we'll take them and make sure they are safe & well-cared for and loved for the rest of their lives', make sure they know that you'll come back to haunt them for the rest of their days if they don't keep their word to you!

Everyone I know who would/could/will take in a foster dog already has at least one dog....Cry Smile

Sharing from Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue volunteer Terry Demag:

"We were contacted to try and help with two dogs in Kokomo, IN. They are 12 year old siblings and their person is in a nursing home. They have limited time to find a new home. They are people friendly and playful / active. The female (Snowball) is more attention seeking. They really need to be the only dogs and all of our foster homes have other dogs. We had a volunteer go meet them yesterday. If you would like more information, I can be contacted at terrydemag@comcast.net. Please help spread the word to save these two - their names are Snowball and Hack."

Thanks, hexe. Seeing those two, I can just hear them morning for their owner..same way this youngster here was howling under her breath, at 6am this morning, for her kid.

joanro, hearing that upon waking must have torn your heart yet again for that puppy, and for the little girl who still loves her.

Homo sapiens. And we claim to be the most highly evolved of all species...feh.
