I have a 15 month female from very good lines.  If I want to show her and try to get an SG where would I begin?  I'm located in South Florida.
Do I need a BH to show her the first time or are those completely seperate?

Thanks

From the words "SG" and "BH" I take it you mean you want to show your dog in the German style shows. You do not need a Bh to show at this age (or any age - the Bh is just the obedience/temperment test that is a prerequisite for Schutzhund, and a Schutzhund or HGH herding title is required to show your dog when your dog hits 2 years old). Part of the entry requirements depend on whether you are showing in a USA or WDA show. I am a WDA member so I will answer from that point of view. At this age, you need to request a 4 generation pedigree from the AKC (note it MUSt be 4 generation) and then send that in to the WDA office with a fee and with your other paperwork (I believe what you need is your AKC registration certificate and a tattoo or microchip verification from your vet. This means your dog must have a tattoo or microchip, then take the form from the WDA website to your vet and they will fill out the form). You will then get back the 4 generation pedigree with the tattoo or microchip verified by the WDA. This is required for all dogs over 12 months. You will also need your registration papers at the show. If your dog was born in Germany you need your pink papers and your Beischenegung (excuse the spelling) with the dog registered in your name. If born in the US, you need your AKC registration certificate that shows the dog is registered in your name. You also need copies of all shots.

I think that's the basics for this age group. You do not need a title or hips and elbows results yet. Good luck!
