My freezer/fridge just died. It is melting all over the place. The appliance guy started to say they couldn't get here until Thurs. or Fri.  I said you got to be kidding! Told him I'd pay any emergency fee, and to tell the techs, I tip well.

We shall see. I frigging can't believe this.

I couldn't help it, that's what the title reminded me of.....lol

Moons.

That's okay Moons. LOL That's what I was thinking, too! This place always reminds me of OZ.

Tongue Smile

Update: The scheduler called me back. One of their guys went home sick. Great, just great. The other guy lives near me, so there is still a chance for my rescue. I moved the milk into the fridge in the garage... just in case. And looks like we have some nice steaks thawing for dinner...hmmm.

Around here it cost nearly as much to fix one as it does to replace it.....lol
Depending on what's wrong.

I actually used to work in a Whirlpool factory making those things.

This is the GE Monogram. It isn't that old I am thinking 4 years? The side by side big one. The guy asked me what model. I haven't a clue. I couldn't find any sticker and I was letting all the cold air out looking for it!  I don't hear the compressor. That can't be a good sign.

The numbers would be on the back, try unplugging it for three or four minutes like a computer and see if it will cycle afterwards.
Could be as simple as a switch, compressors seldom go bad.
A faulty ice maker can shut down a fridge, i've seen that happen before.

Dunno,
I like my steaks burnt by the way.

I think it started with the ice maker...hmm. Let's hope. There is no way to move this, it is kind of built-in. I think the plug is under the sink though.... I'll go see. Thanks for the Lightbulb.

Medium Rare on the inside? Teriyaki marinade with fresh grated ginger and garlic? Served up, topped with a dab of real butter?

Mindhunt

That sucks Beetree!!!!  I have 2 year old Samsung front load washer and dryer that I have had nothing but problems with.  Heating element goes wonky in my dryer burning my clothes one cycle then not drying the next although burning happens more often (I use it in 5-10 minute intervals).  My washer seal has been replaced 2 times and it has dumped water randomly all over my garage every few weeks.  My mother boards went out on both a couple of times and had to be replaced.  The chrome plating on my washer is peeling off and neither Samsung nor Best Buy want to replace them (it will be 5th time for dryer and 4th time for washer), they just keep wanting to repair them and I am insisting they be replaced.  Good luck on your fridge, you kind of need that for food storage and to stick your head in if you get a hot flash lol.

Seems like everything is breaking down around me lately! Thanks for the sympathy, MIndhunt! I just came home with two bags of ice and some Mike's Classic Marguerita's. You do know we are smack dab in the middle of a heat wave? LOL

BE4U,
I couldn't find these accommodating Cowboys of yours to help me out, but I found these guys instead... not even a close second? Waddya think? Thinking

LOL
