Is he a chicken shit afraid of things?
Or is he right in your face and the face of everything else?
Does he stand his ground head held high, or does he lower his head and look like hes planning his escape?
Study your dog.

Moons.

Inappropriate aggression is also a sign of weak nerved dogs quite often.

Over agression is typically a sign of weak nerves and can be overlooked by many.

I have one that use to hide behind me and look around my legs while the Rott took care of things, It was so dam funny, if not so sad. She is 7 and she has come out of it and now wants everyone to know she is no longer chicken. Talk about a late bloomer!

Recently there was a good thread about nerves:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/310637.html#310925

If you do a search on this message board you will find several more with very good information and some not so good!  Take it all with a grain of salt.
