cool K-9 magazine - Page 1

Just wanted to pass along word of K-9 COP Magazine: For Police and Military Working Dog Handlers. K-9 COP's first issue came out in February, and I'm so glad I heard of it and subscribed. Their third issue just came out, and it seems like it gets better with each one (they have an issue out every other month). It's a fairly large magazine - so far each one has been 88 pages.

The magazine covers all types of things that are important to handlers - they usually have articles on tracking, obedience, bite work, building searches, scent detection, legal and healthcare (awesome article on internal parasites this past issue with some really good tips). They also feature a police K-9 unit or a military K-9 unit.

Check out their website for details on the articles they've printed and who's writing the articles. They also have a list of upcoming events and news postings. If you email them a pic of you and your K-9 or your K-9 on a find, they'll post it on the site.

Actually I have. They're very different from one another. I'm one of those believers in soaking up as much info as I can about any specific topic, plus it's cool to get a fresh take on things. Definitely check K-9 COP (www.k9cop.com) out. Just a quick note - the magazine is available to any dog owner, not just police or military people.

I recently subscribed to K9Cop because I am always interested in various training methods.  I got my first issue and though I haven't had time to read in depth, it looks like I will not be disappointed!
