hi, our girl has just went into season, (2days) our vet says we can still get her the jag to prevent her from falling pregnant , but i thought once she had started too bleed it was to late,
can anyone tell us whether it is to late for the jag to prevent her from falling pregnant or are we just wasting our money & keep a watchfull eye on our Horny boy.   Thanks

never give a shot unless it is absolutly necessary.

if she just started bleeding,  you have a week or less till she is ready to breed,  then she will be receptive to the male to be bred for a week, give or take a few days,  then a week going out of season.  you don't want any puppies,  better keep your dogs seperated till after the 3rd week.

Lock one or both of them up and don't let them be together. Don't give a dog medication unless it is absolutely necessary. Yes, he's going to whine and moan and cry and generally go crazy smelling her. But if you don't want puppies. KEEP THEM APART!
Buy a crate if you don't have one.
