hello-
I am not sure what type of negatives you are looking for. It appears that all of the dogs at PPK are Hip Certified, titled, shown and I have been there so I know they are well kept and loved. If you have any specific questions please feel free to PM me and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.  My suggestion is to contact them and go visit and talk to them yourself to get a better feel for them (same suggestion for any breeder!).  I am not sure they have any pups right now anyway but that would be something you could ask them when you contact them.

Good luck in your puppy search. :o)

My wife and I have a 20 month old male GSD that we purchased from ppkshepherds. When we picked up our pup, he had a health certificate from a local vet, shots, tattoo and microchip. Our relationship with ppk didn"t end when we paid for our dog, it was just the begining. Anytime we had a question or we were looking for advice on anything concerning our dog , they were always there, day or night. There are numerous first rate kennels that you can get a dog from but will they remember you after you take your  new pup home?  I think this is what puts ppk over the top. It was never about money, only about what is best for the dog.

No matter who the breeder is for your next dog, I think you should always contact them and see their place for yourself. Why would you join this board the day you posted this question and within 36 hours post negative comments about someone you supposedly don't know (quoted from you, "I will stay as far away as possible")? Does make me wonder who may have ill intentions. This breeder is involved in Schutzhund and does show so it would depend on what you are looking for. If you don't think this breeder has what you're looking for, it would probably be best that you look elsewhere. It's only common sense right?? There are many breeders in New England to choose from and all will have positive and negative comments if you ask enough people, so as I suggested before, contact them, go visit them, see for yourself and make your own decision or move on to the next breeder.

Good luck in your puppy search.

Also, now that you made me curious too. I took note of the two posts that you mentioned and they are not 8 minutes apart but rather about 10 or so hours apart.  Bubbles posted at: "bubbles on 01 June 2009 - 15:06"  and Patton posted at: "Patton on 02 June 2009 - 03:06".

Superdog - I am sorry you have a problem with my honest response. I am not the owner of PPK Shepherds. I am a well established GSD Hobbiest who has been Rescueing GSD's for about 15 years, placing many of them into Police Departments. I do not compete in Schutzhund sport nor do I show my dogs in political arena's so I can assure you that I am not the owner of PPK Shepherds. It appears that you have a personal vendetta against this breeder and as I stated, if they don't have what you're looking for, there are many breeders in New England for you to choose from. As I also stated you can always PM me if you have any questions about my experiences with PPK Shepherds or any others in the area. With my many years as Rescuer, Veterinary Technician, and Animal Control Officer, I have seen many of the best and worst from most of the breeders in New England. Without getting into detail, I would have no problem referring anyone to PPK Shepherds. I am not looking to start a battle, mearly responded to your questions and comments.

To answer another of your questions as honestly as I can, I do not believe that simply because a breeder shows or trials their dogs they  would automatically have the dog you may be looking for. Go visit the kennels, go talk to the breeders, go to the trials/shows, meet them there if you would like. Please be careful of coming onto an international database to make comments that may be taken in offense by people you don't know. E-mails and message boards have a way of being used wrongly for personal attacks and therefore sometimes things are misunderstood. I am sure that you are not trying to attack this kennel as you state you have not spoken to them personally. Again, if you don't feel comfortable with them, check on a few of the others. Attending a show is a great place to meet several breeders at one time. Check on the GSDCA-WDA website or USCA website for scheduled shows or trials in your area.

I wish you the best of luck in your search. You will find the right dog somewhere.

They joined about just about 30 minutes apart. That is a little ironic. But then again many people become new members of the database forum every day. I dont think this is a conspiracy on the Kennels behalf. Your post style seems a little too familar, you know what mean? But thats ok, alot of people around here like the drama!
