Ok folks...do your boys not eat when a Bitch is in heat?
We have some super high food drive dogs on hunger strike...well one out of 2.
Just curious....normal?
Or? Pissed cause he cant get any? A deliberate hunger strike to prove a point :)

As always thanks for your input!

Don,t worry they will eventually decide food is more important then hoochie... just make sure they have plenty of fresh water on hand.

Very common, especially if the males have breeding experience.

What would you rather do?
Eat?  or the other.....:)
How do you think I keep my slim figure.
I'd say its fairly common.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM KFC. TODAY IS THE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK LUNCH SPECIAL $1.99 WITH FREE REFILLS. MY GF STINKY WAS SERVING AND FEELING VERY RANDY. NOW SHE LOOKED HOT AND SMELLED JUST LIKE CHICKEN BUT MY APPETITE WAS AS HEALTHY AS EVER. A MALE SHOULD NEVER ALLOW ANYTHING TO AFFECT THEIR APPETITE.

Moons:
Do you find that you pace alot and howl frequently during such phases?

Two Moons

by Two Moons on 24 March 2009 - 16:03

Pace?
Yes.
Howl?
No its more of a whinning sound.
And I usually eat later, after a little quiet time.
Then try to go back for seconds.
When I was young it was an all day event.   Those were the days.
God I loved the seventies.

And yes its our old Man stud Nikko who has had lots of action and is not even the least bit interested in any food.
He is drinking like normal.
He's just holding out...and a little whiney...and when in his platz this morning as Mark was put the bitch out I noticed him creeping slowly towards the door to get a peek.   Kinda like a gi-joe but maybe no one would notice if he did not get up jsut scooted across the floor.  Of course I made him go back to where he started!
Thanks for the info guys
Back to work!

I have a 6 year old male and a 16 week old female GSD, but we also have a 2.5 year old Chihuahua.  My male wont eat and whines whenever the Chuhuahua is in heat.  He tries to get her into position (shes a little one too, about  pounds), pretty damn funny
