I'd suggest you get your vet to check her out, so if it is demodex, it can be caught early.

Bitches blow their coats before a heat cycle and lots of dead hair dries out your skin and the only way to get it out (besides grooming) ......
A little boost in their EFA consumption at this time often helps and frequent groomings to get all that dead hair and skin out.
Demodex is also a concern but you will normally see some hair loss and most often its around the face and ears although I have seen some on the legs
Just the joys of being a girl.. mom always told me it hurts to be beautiful!! LOL!

Why can't you just answer the question?
My bitch gets itchy, and she backs up to the kennel links so my male can scratch it.
She gets very playful and becomes a shameless tease.
The wife calls her a slut, but I know shes truely in love.
If she's scratching her neck I figure its something else.
