Just heard that Valerie Egger who owned the famous old Tadellos kennel passed away last week. Her kennel had been in existence since 1942, probably most famous for importing Hein Von Koniigsbruch to the UK in 1970.

A wonderful lady who took on the Kennel Club and won. Valerie had a genuine passion for our breed, Rhoda and I had the pleasure of visiting her at her home some years ago, a memorable experience that left us with a lasting memory of a strong dedicated and very knowledgeable and considerate lady. The like we are unlikely to see again. Her lovely parrots will miss her. RIP Valerie.

A wonderful lady, so knowledgeable and yet very helpful and kind to newcomers to the breed.
Our first two bitches were from her wonderful stud dogs 'Nickel Von Unterhain' & 'Tadellos Kane'.
I will remember the many interesting phone calls over the years & also a lovely afternoon spent meeting her dogs, looking at her old photos of them & hearing all her Shepherd stories.
I was very sad to hear that she had passed on.
