I was just looking up old pedigrees, I bought my first GSD in 1976 his name was "Kestlebrae Marcus" and his sire was "Vindobonas Heiko" and on his dam's side his grandsire was "Furstenkrone Carlo".
On the database pedigree for Heiko there are some blanks is it OK for me to fill them in as I still have my old boy pedigree?

yes it is always helpful as long as you have the pedigree it provides the information which is missing.

Do you or did you own Heiko?
People don't appreciate pedigrees being screwed up, and changes made to a pedigree are logged.
Just make sure your information is correct.   Its like a domino effect changes can cause other changes to other pedigrees.

I can only confirm that Heiko's dad was Heiko v Klaberkamp SchH3 & he was a grand son of Frei v d Guggee SchH3. Heiko was born in quarantine in the UK.

Two Moons,

I do have the original pedigree of my boy and the names that I can fill in are the sire and dam of
Asso v Alten Muhlarad SchH111 FH "V" and they are

 Sire    Isso v Buseckerschloss SchH111 "V"'

Dam    Assi v Oberspringerland SchH 11 "V"

I will stand by this as authentic and correct.

I will not update this pedigree yet, please correct me if you can prove that I am wrong.

I just wanted you to know about making changes .
They should be correct and done only on the pedigree page of a dog you own.
They can and do effect the whole system.
Changes are logged for security.
And sadly pedigrees have been tampered with maliciously in the past.
Its a lot of work as we all know, even more when you have to go in and repair damage.
Thats all I had on my mind.

Thank you for that Dax. That is exactly why I have not done anything as yet.
Even though I have the pedigree in front of me, What I am looking at is not nescessarily correct, as always when things are repeated they can often become confused especially as they didn't have the technology we have today I have added my boy and his dam but that is all.

Today I have been looking on the database for the dogs in his pedigree and not finding them have tried different spellings and you have cleared that up for me. So now I will continue with my research.
