Can anyone who has tried out the new Revolutionary Fully Hand Crafted All Round Dog Protection Training Sleeve from ForDogTrainers (the one with the tri-level bite regulation bar) tell me what they think of it. Also, which manufacturer makes the best bite sleeves for intermediate training and what do you think of the air compression bite sleeves.

pesonally, i think there are too many sleeves on the market. puppy sleeve to teach a young dog what it is like to have a full bite, then trial sleeeve for hardness. all the steps inbetween are just a marketing scheme to make you buy more. either the dog will bite full and keep it or they wont. it can be taught, but you need a helper who can teach it.
just my two cents.

Thanks John - that's what I thought from reading all the hype. I was however intrigued by the amazing sleeve at http://www.fordogtrainers.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=208 which says all levels can be trained with just one sleeve that can be adjusted as we go along and wanted to know if anyone has tried it.

A club member bought one of these sleeves. The felt on the outside of the bite holds all the dogs saliva and never dries out. After 3 training days the freaking thing weighted 20 LBS, then the felt started to rot from the saliva and it stunk...oh my god, we left it in the club shed with the rest of the sleeves, we thought something died in there, we looked for a hour to see if a animal got under the shed and was dead and rotting. Not only that, the inserts broke down fast and the sleeve was mush after working 20 dogs..I guess maybe that is why it is half price.

L Flo - did this happen even with a jute cover?
