I couldn't wait for the season to change and now I have my wish, two tick bites !
Now that I've started my garden the temps are going below freezing overnight this week.
I love it anyway.

Can't wait for next week...Temps here (just east of Spokane, Washington) are supposed to go into the 50's, with above freezing at night!! We'll be getting our garden in as soon as we can work the soil...we usually put up a PVC greenhouse and can plant earlier than some of our neighbors who don't...have to wait until the rains let up and quit rotting the seeds or washing them away...
Good luck on your gardening...

I'll have to cover things up with plastic, some things are still under glass. As for the ticks, I hate using the chemicals but its time. Went to the vet yesterday for the usual and Wallyworld for a can of permanone.

If I put my tomatoes in in April, I can guarantee you we'll get a late freeze. Works every time.
Argh...
Must be time to do snap heartworm tests this week and start prevention for ticks & heartworms.

Yep, have seen mosquitoes too.
If you set your tomatoes out and then get a frost I always save those 5 gal. empty mud buckets they work well for covering small plants. They come in handy for a lot of things.
Today its so windy they would need a brick to hold them down.
BTW, I did the Mustang thing with the top down...lol

We've still got about a foot or so of s**w on the ground, though I did do some tracking today, in spite of it. Still shaking the slush out of my boot tops and pant cuffs...
At least the path to the garage no longer requires ice cleats or Yak Traks, and you can see bare patches in the icy ski slope of the driveway, though the snow banks on the side of the road are still nearly four feet high!
Canada...gotta love it!

I must admit I'd love to see snow, but only next winter.
Just don't slip and break anything.

GOOD FOR YOU! Who WAS that amazing stud behind those Foster-Grants? Was that YOU Moons?
But did you get lucky? Ha ha ha?
I didn't have to put the top down in my old van on my birthday last month. The windshield leaks so well its almost the same as having a cubberdable... wind in my hair, rain on my face, mascara running down my cheeks.
I pretended I was speed-shifting as Ole Red struggled to get out of the way of an oncoming garbage truck coming out of the driveway, me trying to get the the automatic transmission to engage before my chariot and I became another greasy spot on our road.
