So the moral of the story is do not let your dog chase game and do not let your dog walk around on its own in traffic.also interact with your dog on daily basis,go to park and play and give your dog lots of excercise and your dog would be happy.have a nice one.

About bicycle. If your dog is quite reliable off-leash, it can follow you next to your bike.
I don't risk her being run over by a car, so I have a device on my bike that allows her to follow at just the correct distance, about 18 inches, from the rear wheel of my bike. Otherwise a leash can easily get entangled.
My girl fast trots about 3.5 miles every other day. She could do more, as every time afterward she still has plenty of energy to play, but I figure that this much is enough. She has great thick pads on her paws, well-arched toes, and great form for exercise, with her deep chest.
My old Rhodesian Ridgeback ran even more.
