Yeah, I know. I tried to adjust the contrast with the program that the xray came with, on a disk. It's a little better then it was.

Not only is it crappy quality, but the knees are pulled in too tight, making the hips rotate almost out of the socket. Hope you didn't pay a lot for this. Having said that, they don't look too bad if I imagine what proper positioning and exposure would show.

Despite the bad quality of the picture these hips are A1 for sure, congratulations!!!!!!

Thank you all for your replies. I was looking for opinions because I have already submitted these xrays to OFA and was not pleased with what they had decided. I more or less needed to know if it would be worth it to re shoot them and resubmit to either OFA or SV. The results that OFA sent me says that he is mildly displastic. Do you think they gave him the rating due to poor xray?

Did they say what hip had mildly displastic?
I would get this x-ray done agin with a good position, I think they well pass.
The left leg as you look at the x-ray is is pulled in.

Re take and send to SV. You will never get OFA to come off their bad rating. Those are good hips with a crappy xray.

I sent them to a friend who just happens to be the head vet at Auburn University. He said the xrays themselves are horrible, the positioning, contrast, etc.. but the dog looks fine. So we'll send them to the SV.
Does OFA really not like to change ratings? I think we may be going the way of the SV from now on with hip xrays, I have a few dogs who I think should have recieved a better rating then they did.
