PETA kills animals for fun and then they get all self-righteous about it.
They don't eat what they kill, They just illegally, contaminate creek beds with all the dead puppies and kittes.
I think that some of these creeps will become serial killers and tell themselves they are doing society and the planet Gaia a favor by de-populating the eartn.
Can't they just do something more harmless, like, dorpping acid and smoking pot-at home!

PETA!
People Eating Tasty Animals. always have, always will.
last time the circus was in town, topeka kansas, they had some girl half naked in a cage with fake whip marks all over her back. we tried to rescue her but THEY stopped us. i guess its ok for them to cage humans, but i cant have a dog?
now we need to come up with new names for the other extreme animal activist groups.

BeeTree,
No one is trying to stir a pot here...These anti-animal bills (they aren't about animal welfare, and we all know that, don't we?) are backed by groups like PETA and HSUS. Read the links above, if you will, and see where this is leading.
These groups want to eliminate all human interaction with animals, not 'just' what they call abuse. To them, animals are enslaved, and must be liberated, and it doesn't matter how many lives must be destroyed to do it. To them, human lives aren't worth anything, while they claim animals' lives are. PETA kills more animals each year than any local shelter anywhere, regardless of the size of the town in which it is located. So they aren't pro-animal rights, either. Liberating (read: abandoning) animals from human enslavement guarantees they will die, either slowly, or en-masse.
Any time new laws are proposed, some of them under the banner of a tear-jerker story, understand that they are almost always backed by AR groups which have the money and the influence to do what you and I cannot: create laws. Fight them with everything you have. Call, email, flood the offices of the elected officials with your feelings on these matters.
The crazy people who back these groups are small in number, and if we stand up to them, and tell them to take their c**p and shove it, we can stop them. Maybe start a new group, like National Agriculture and Animal Husbandy Association, or Animal Owners for the Termination of Chronic Stupidity. Get some donations, start ad campaigns advertising the benefits of animals in our lives, who knows...but we need to do SOMETHING. Some person comes to my place and tells me that my animals are slaves and they're here to liberate them...It might not be too pretty.

Ohhh, now HERE'S an Idea I'd support!
You know what, I think I'll side with Westminster on this one. Meanwhile, maybe PETA should send their KKK-dressed supporters to Harlem to protest dog fighting. I see no way that could end badly.

The problem with the WKC is that they're right, at least in part: The people showing there do have the health of their dogs in mind. That's what upsets the PETA freaks so much. They have the ultimate destruction of the dogs in mind.
Leg hold traps are cruel, true enough, but sometimes they are the only way to catch a varmint that won't quit killing your livestock (slaves). PETA comes after me on my mini farm, I'll set some traps especially for them:-)

There's a petition currently going on the site referenced above to have the IRS strip PETA's tax exempt status. And it should be stripped, since a group that stands for terrorism, child abuse, and mass euthanasia of animals doesn't deserve to escape taxes.
Come to think of it, they shouldn't be able to escape prison either...if I paid for someone to bomb a building, I'd go to prison. They do it...and it's okay, because it's for a good cause...The eradication of pets.
Still don't think they're a threat? Ingrid Newkirk, of PETA, seems to be of the opinion that we humans are a blight on the face of the earth, and a cancer that spreads rapidly. That animals deserve more respect than humans. That being vegan is the only way to be. No leather, silk, fur, eggs, milk, meat, or any other animal products. By the way, "Vegan" isn't the same as vegetarian.
Also, rather than use animals for medical testing, they advocate using humans, which would eliminate animal suffering.
One last thought...if vegetarian means you only eat vegetables, then what do humanitarians eat?
