Forum Suggestion-- "block" or "enuff" option - Page 1

I'm not sure that this is possible in this forum software, but I know it's not unusual in many other forums. Is there someway we can create "Ignore" or "Enuff" lists on this forum so we can skip/not see posts by people we don't wish to see?

This forum is often invaluable and there is a tremendous wealth of information here. There's also a lot of crap, venom, spite, misplaced (and/or muddled) politics.

If it were possible to have a way to block the ability on a person-by-person basis, then those who were interested could continue the conversations, but those who were not would not see the interruptions/off-topic posts/malicious posts.

In fact, it's called "Enuff" on the forum software I am referring to. So, do your homework before trying to tell someone how to spell.

I do pretty well skipping over the asshats, every now and then, one stops me in my tracks, despite myself.

Christine, that is something I have thought of as well.

I have a list of posters that I will not receive messages from in my PM inbox as I have made good use of the "blocked option".

I get lots of PMs and I am so happy to hear from all the wonderful people on this board. 

There are just a very few who.......just.....it's like fingernails on a black board.  Creepy and makes my skin crawl.  I do just skip over their posts as Moon pointed out, but, if I could entirely POOF them, I surely would.

I love debate and learn a lot from people I disagree with.  I even don't mind when I am called incorrect or ignorant.  Sometimes I am.

There are just some things like anti-semitism and racism that I draw the line and will not tolerate.  My grandparents emigrated from Syria,  Even so, I am an American and  I will not tolerate antisemitism and racism, not even from family members.  They know that I will hang up the phone if they cross certain lines.  They know because I have.  There is no "Abed" or "Yahoud" talk with me on the other end of the phone.  They know I love them and that not crossing that line shows that they love and respect me.
