I want to congratulate San Diego for a well executed Regional trial despite the weather and unforeseen tracking obstacles, they did a fantastic job, finding a new tracking field after the original field ended up to be flooded.
A short story on what happen to me in San Diego. Enjoy
I just got up after a long drive back, I had to stop along the road and take a power snooze, so it was about 2 am Monday morning when I pulled into my drive way. Saturday evening was the Judges dinner. The dinner took place in a Thai Restaurant in San Diego. I parked next to the restaurant entrance, it said CUSTOMER PARKING ONLY. Half way through the dinner someone start yelling they are towing our cars. I looked out and my car was gone.
My first call was to San Diego PD, what a bunch of assholes they are, they did not show any interest in helping me out, ( luckily I left my dog at the hotel) there was a small number listed on the bottom of the CUSTOMER PARKING ONLY sign for a towing company, I called them. They did not have my car, after calling around for a few hours I was able to find my car parked on an impound lot at 0130 am, impounded by the towing company that I called first.
These guys were major assholes, refused to let me pick up my car until Sunday morning. My first question was what time do you open? 7 am. Ok I will be there at 7 am. The impound lot was on the other side of San Diego, I had to leave the dog at the Hotel, now the Hotel was giving me a hard time, you can't leave your dog at the Hotel, you have to check out, finally I extended my stay told them that the dog is with me and left.
I took a taxi to the Impound lot, found my car, but the lot was closed, I waited until 845 am until they showed up. Slowly after a cup of coffee they guy talked to me and gave me the paper work for my car, $310 to release the car. I blew a gasket then, I wish that you never will have the chance to see me that angry. I had no options, he was behind bullet proof glass and a locked steel door, holding my car hostage. I got into my car raced through town trying to find my way back to the trial field. I arrived there just in time for my Obedience.

Peters’ incident was a tough one. The parking situation was misleading and unfortunately Peter was too busy talking to some idiot jackass too notice his car was leaving without him.
But this adversity didn’t seem to fluster Peter at all. And unlike many in our sport would have; he didn’t bitch and moan about it all day. Instead he showed a lot of grace and sportsmanship and showed is dog with a smile on his face. Why he didn’t get the sportsmanship trophy is a mystery to me.
