Well that's a good thing if it passes into standard. It could open up some more gene pools to use. Also long hairs have bigger bones for the most part ,it could help there as well.

Wuzzup
I cannot say that young Goran is bigger boned than any other G.S why would you think because the hair is longer they should be bigger boned For your information he weighs only 65 lb and i do not think he will reach any more than 70lb when he finishes growing

Most over here that we see with the long hair have bigger bones then their litter mates. Not always but  more often then not .Thats just my experience,I have also read many post where some one questions if the dog is a long hair and alot of times I see the answer was "yes just look at the heavy bone structure". This is in show line dogs steve that I see it the most.

The long hair standard =  "all long stocks must be shaven to 1 - 3/4" length immediately, no exceptions"

Thank GOD I got a New Anti-Virus,

I see the "South Has Risen Again"

Here is a pic of Rufus He is my solid black long coat.boy. Sorry the pic isn't clearer I took it tonite and my camera batteries are going dead already.( I just got new ones) You can get the general idea of his structure. Obviously no attempt to stack, just him being "casual".
He has one nice siney black coat. I'll gethim tomorrow, should be "heat wave"again!

The long hairs have come a long ways in the past few years. I am very glad to see it too!!  There are some beautiful coated dogs out there, in both show and working lines.

So many more long coats"coing out of the closet!"

Interesting what you said about the bigger bones wuzzup, my girl isn't 22 " yet, but she does have really nice bone (at 7 months). I love LSC's.

They do not have to be taller to have  the heavier bones. She looks great to me.

I agree, just thought I should mention that, as many times, when they grow, their bone gets thinner, so far hers hasn't...maybe she is done growing, who knows but right now she is like a foot stool. ;)
