I register all my puppies with the endorsement "progeny not eligible for KC registration" so I was surprised to see this one is now in the USA and breeding.

Do overseas Kennel Clubs not recognise UK endorsements?

Good question!  I used to do the same but I included, "not for export".

Yikes! If you look at their website it says they also breed Shiloh shepherds.

I also use 'Not eligible for Export' ???  thus hopefully stopping registration with a foreign kennel Club

My pups are sold with Limited AKC registration, eligible for removal of that stipulation once titled and hip/elbow certified. Canada does not recognise that stipulation, transfers them to full registration, and I'm betting most other FCI recognized registries that don't offer that option don't either. Anybody know for sure?

I've just checked on the UK  Kennel Club site and he is still registered in my name here so cannot have an export pedigree.  Maybe she doesn't register his pups.

I was advised I could register Baldur with the UKC and forgo his limited registration with AKC so I could use him for breeding and have UKC registered puppies. It is apparently done frequently with a lot of breeds, esp. bullies and some Malinios.   I never did it as I could not dishonor my breeders wishes he be titled ect before she herself would lift the restrictions.  When he was diagnosed with EPI (2 yr) and developed temperment issues (14 moths), I was never more glad that I did the right thing by having him neutered and forgetting using him at all for a foundation "stud dog" (dreamer that I was at that time).

Margaret, I don't know which dog was yours but their website, on available pups you'll see why she didn't care about reg.

It says that "Litter One--England Import "Artimus" and Shiloh Shepherd "Sugar".  Both very large boned, long-coated, great drive and work ethic.  You could not ask for a better cross...pups will start at $1500."

How's that?  Registration doesn't matter because they're breeding mixed breeds anyway.

Hi Crys

The English import, Artimus, was bred by me and sold by Keltic Kennels as a trained personal protection dog in 2006.  I had no idea he had been exported.  I don't see how he can be registered as he is still in my name with the UK Kennel Club so cannot have an export pedigree.  If the owner is using him to breed Shilohs I guess he doesn't need to be registered.  Well, at least he looks well cared for and they must have wanted him very much to pay for getting him out there, can't have been cheap.
