hi
just a quick msg to say thank you to every one who gave me advice about our 6 mth old long haired gsd whose lower canine tooth was out of alignment. i was told there is a good chance it will correct itself, well the good news is that at 7 mths the tooth has now moved into the correct position, we still kept the appt with the doggy dentist who had a good look and said its fine carry on what doing i.e. cooked roast bones for him to chew on and playing with his hard kong.
this is definately a website for good advice, i will post pics of our 2 dogs as soon as i figure out how to do it.
thanks again everyone

If your dog dentist suggested you allow the dog to chew on COOKED bone, then I would seriously question this. NEVER, EVER give dogs cooked bones as that and freezing too, makes them brittle and much more likely to splinter and cause serious trouble for the dog and your pocket book.

apologies if i didnt make it clear enough, we would never give our dogs cooked bones we know the damage they can do, i meant the roast knuckle bones you get from the pet stores which dogs can have.
the dentist meant it has been good for him as it obviously works the jaw muscles.
thanks
