Has any dog ever got a schutzhund title with only CKC papers? Im not talking Candian either. Im just curious. I would like to see if it has happend or if they have any trials.

A gsd can be issued a USA scorebook with the notation that it is a gsd, if the proper forms are filled out and signed by a judge, breed warden, vet, tattoer, koermeister. For specific information, go to the USA website (www.germanshepherddog.com), click on Breed Regulations and scroll down to paragraph 5.
Otherwise, because CKC is not a recognized registry, the dog's scorebook and trial results will reflect it as a 'mix."
A dog does NOT need to be registered, or purebred, to earn a schutzhund title.

I understand they do not need that to get a title but in my area at the time I chose a CKC working puppy vs. AKC puppies with no titles and byb'ers. It makes me wonder why that kennel club is just a joke if good working dogs can be produced.

actually maybe not even good but a new direction to build on in the US. Some dogs outside the gene pool of AKC with AKC and UKC ancestors that just didnt have paper work filled out or whatever.

not that they are a joke, they just are not the AKC. as far as registrys go, they are the only one that counts, unfortunatly.
hell, not even the AKC is FCI recognized.
