Let me start by saying I have read the message board and am only posting this because I have not been able to answer my questions with past posts.
I am new to looking for our new family member. I have always just known someone or adopted and I want to do it right this time.I have had bad experiances and know they can't be all that is out there. So if you can reccomend a kennel or even a certain line please do. If you want to offer advice thats what I want.
We are looking for a female puppy for sport , family and show. Our dogs go everywhere with us (yes sometimes in the bathroom). A well balanced dog with good working ability yet able to shift down to kid mode. From past experience it is very important to me that the dog not be overbred just to get "pretty". No more allergies and cataracts please......Now aside fom the obviouse, yes I would like a black and tan w/good conformation. I have shown in the past and would like to continue, I am not talking VA potential. I have seen many beutiful dogs but I don't know the true personality passed to offspring. I think Velvet Redox is a beautiful dog (but have no facts on anything else) I think Panjo Kirshental is beautiful and I have heard many good things about there lines.
There are a lot of kennels out there which all state the same (great working family dogs, the perfect shepherd) and they are not all speaking the truth. So just a little help in a direction would be great. Oh and can we also leave it to California as I would like to be able to see the pup first and poss. meet the parents.
By the way I know that what a dog becomes is up to who trains it, but I would like to start with the good quality ingredients
