Hoo boy.
Heads up Shepherd owners in Aspen CO because one of the dogs is a GSD. Bit the guy on the ass. (ok, not funny) (ok, yes it is).

I don't see the humor Tess - GSD's don't need this kind of bad publicity. I live in Denver so this is close to home - the last time a GSD was involved in a bite incident here, I had people crossing the street to get away from my two (friendly) GSD's when we were out walking. We know it's wrong to generalize about anything, but that's what people do.

Another set of irresponsible idiot owners whose actions may affect the rest of us.

Leave it to the beavers of this world to screw things up for the others.. Dumb butts!

You're right, AnjaBlue, the issue is concerning, which is why I posted it as a "heads-up" as these things always make people look at any GSD with suspicion.
The humor I saw was the matter-of-fact quote by the skier (who continued the race, btw) of saying where the dog grabbed him.

Yeh no article about a shepherd biting is Not good news.
Sounds like this skier was right at the property line to see a sign that close up.
Maybe he was not even suppose to be there and it was a real close property line thing and the dog made a
terrible mistake on his boundaries. Doesn't sound like the dog traveled very far off his yard. And I wonder what the guy did, did he act scared or the opposite, thought he would be fun to wave a pole and see what would happen. Wish dogs could talk. In any event it is very bad for dog and owner.
The second happening about the terrier or pit bull was no accident sounds like. sad.

Beware of dog?
This is what happens when people train dogs in PPD and do not have them properly confined on the property itself.
Or have dogs with no training at all. Or have dogs improperly trained to attack anyone.
Bad all round.
SSDD.
