Went to my usual dog food supply place here in town to pick up my usual monthly 29.1 lb bag of Adult Orijen for ther girl and much to my surprise the price has come down $6.00 for the large bag...Last bag was $55.00 without the tax (cash), this bag cost me $49...(cash)...Interersted to hear if this is nation wide or just here in Fla...???

We've bought Orijen Adult at three different stores.

Country Pet, Lebanon, NJ $56 plus tax.
Affordable Pet Center, near Allentown, PA  $48 plus tax.
Genesee Feed, Batavia, NY $47 plus tax.

We no longer shop at Country Pet  :)

I think you may just be lucky. I have heard from Orijen feeders that I know that their prices have recently gone UP.

No decrease in price of Orijen in Belgium, if you want it you have to pay 89.65 USA dollars a bag for it

Just bought yesterday, just checked the bag 2 minutes ago to see how fresh or old it might be...Freshness date good until 19 Feb 2010 lot # 90370, UPC: 2111081957...I had no doubt as to its freshnes, it was a vac sealed bag and where i buy it from never stocks more than they sell in a month+/-a bag or 2...
When I paid for the bag and saw that it was $49.99 down from the $55.00 I paid last time I asked  the owner what was going on and she told me that Orijen lowered their prices not her...Maybe all those nasty letters I've written to Champion regarding their last 3 price increases over the last 2 years finally made some sense to someone...???
I am near Crystal River on the west coast  of what they call central Fla...I've been dealing with the same vendors now for over 3 years...I can buy Orijen from more than 5 different places within 10 miles of our house with a price range of say $10-$25.00 for the same 29.1 lbs bag, crazy...
I was just passing along what I considered to be good news out of Orijen after they had gone through those last 3 price increases that really got me to thinking about making a change...Lets see what my next bag costs me as with each bag I've bought over tha past 6 months or so (I buy a large bag a month) I've paid a different price each time...
Will always do whats best for the dog no matter what...

  Have GSD day,

  Rob
