ALL loaded up and ready to head out to dog training. Taking the big truck, camper, trailer today so we can have the cook stove, hot chocolate, chilli, and the new frames for the canopy that collapsed in the snow. Dogs loaded, everything loaded, ready to go.
Double dang truck battery is DEAD!!!!!

So, dang and double dang, I'm NOT off to dog training today.
And now back to our regular scheduled programming.......

Better to have it happen when you're loaded & ready to leave, than loaded & ready to go home! jh

Most batteries, even the heavy duty ones, dont last more than two years in the extreme cold weather....It takes more cold cranking amps than normal..Hope you have a big commercial battery charger with the 200 amp charge start option...
Having owned an automotive shop, my biggest scare is a dead battery..Take your extension, heavy duty cord and the battery charger with you and a pair of jumpers..Jumpers wont help if battery is bad,
We sold batteries and many times the life of even the biggest name in the produce , sometimes just dont hold up for the life of 3 years...
Never happens when you just are going for a leisure drive;.MIne has failed when I had 30 minutes to get to bank or to an appointment or needed to get a dog to someone that afternoon., and no one anywhere near a phone to come to my rescue. Good ole charger will get you out of the driveway ,,but when you get to your destination , you have a truck that will not run on a bad battery...
And it is Sunday , too...Walmart doesnt carry your kind of battery!!!!!! Guess you better go in and take a big breath and dont beat the hubby,,,,just eat some chili and crackers and post on the database...

SS, Now that beats all! Though there was a specific horse show I was at, the trainer had all of our tack in his rig. He was running late, I was warming up for a reining class bareback...... For those that know reining horses, I'm sure you can appreciate that challenge!

Charge it, let it set a day, if it goes back down you need a new battery.
