I have a few questions about homeopathic remedies for dogs, I have used Arnica 15c with fantastic results in the past and this got me wondering about other remedies. I have found a few recommended for bitches in whelp,
Has anyone used these particular remedies before? if yes with what results?
Does anyone know of a good homeopath in the UK?
What is your opinion on using homeopathic remedies on dogs?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tracie
- Caulophyllum 30c - helps with contractions.
- Urtica Urens 30c- helps increase milk flow.
- Arnica 15c-aids bruising and general recovery.

Philippa Roedale in Puddletown, Dorset. She's a regular Vet but practises homeopathy. A huge amount of Homeopaths get their supplies from Gaelens (sp?) (dispensing chemist) in West Stafford, Dorset. You can go there yourself, I've been once, it's in the most idyllic setting in Thomas Hardy country! They're extremely helpful if you 'phone and will post your order the same day... and it's cheaper than buying them from any shop!
I used to use rasperry leaf, before, during and for a couple of days after whelping.

I keep Caulophyllum on hand. it works for some bitches but not all. I usually start with it before choosing to go to oxytocin.
