Many, many thanks to Steve1 for sending me this cool laptop all the way from Belgium! I named it "Pigeon". All I had to do was change the plug and it works perfectly, even has wireless capability. Its going to take me awhile to get used to the slightly smaller European keyboard, and the fact that it is absolutely SILENT (my old dinosaur was louder than my shop-vac) but I don't touch type anyway.

Hi Shelley!

There are ALOT of NICE PEOPLE on this PEDIGREE DATABASE! We hear about the bad, and who is being cheated in the German Shepherd World, but this is the good! That was awfully nice of STEVE1.
Steve1... the World should have more people like you. I know that they are out there!

Free at last. Free at last. Great God almighty I'm free at last! :-D
Now to find out what, if anything, I managed to back up on my flash drives before the old dinosaur fried its hard disc... I only had, say, a few thousand images on the old one. I'm thinking these two little 1 gig flash drives probably don't hold them all.
Maybe now that I have a DVD that actually works I'll remember to back things up now and then in future.
Maybe...

My bruises are healing nicely thank you. I found some ice-melt that is paw-friendly. It doesn't work half so well as salt but better than nothing. We have a sweltering 40F today, and even some sunshine, so maybe some of this junk will actually melt in time for the club get together tomorrow. T is dee-lighted to find me back in my office. If his snoring and that "died and gone to heaven" expression on his mug are any indication, he really missed his basket-bed in here.

I wish I didn't have to go to town to run errands today. I'd much rather play with my Pigeon all day long.
