RE: Oppose House Bill 198
Dear Representative __________:
I am writing you today because I am concerned about House Bill 198, a measure that would require any dog breeder who owns more than 3 breeding females to be licensed and inspected and that would limit breeders to twenty intact dogs. As a constituent and responsible dog breeder I ask that you oppose this burdensome and ineffective legislation.
HB 198 will not improve the welfare of dogs in Illinois, but it will hurt responsible breeders like me who strive to raise healthy, well cared-for dogs and work to ensure that these puppies are placed with responsible owners. The expense of complying with the engineering standards in the bill will force breeders to shut down, making it virtually impossible for Illinois residents to obtain locally raised purebred dogs.
Concentrating animal control efforts on dogs whose behavior demonstrates that they are a problem for the community, and investigating credible animal cruelty complaints would be a much better use of taxpayer funds.
I respectfully ask that you support responsible owners and breeders by opposing HB 198.
Sincerely,
John Smith
(Full Address)
(Personalize here – tell about yourself as a dog owner, breeder and fancier. How many years have you been involved with dogs? What breeds have you owned or shown? Do you compete with your dogs?
Details the steps you take when preparing to breed/whelp a litter – applicable health testing, evaluation of breeding stock, training, etc…How much money do you invest in these things? How do you work with puppy purchasers to ensure they will be responsible owners? Do you encourage CGC or obedience training? Do you remain in contact with the new owners or provide them literature about responsible pet care?
How would HB 198 affect your ability to continue to breed? Would you have to build new facilities? Would these expenses cause you to shut down entirely?

What we're working on is the Continental Congress 2009 modeled directly from the efforts of our Founding Fathers Continental Congress. We're currently working on bringing representatives from all 50 states to Philadelphia @ the Constitution Center.
This will be an attempt to thwart those in our enity government that oppose Liberty as founded in America.
You can read more here ... http://www.wethepeoplecongress.org/
We do have a meeting in Harrisburg this Sunday January 25th to discuss our efforts. CC2009 looks good for March 2009.

Your right wuzzup,
Its not my state either but all they have to do is cross a bridge to get here.

by BabyEagle4U on 23 January 2009 - 23:01
.. it's not that easy 2 moons .. unless you get a permit to rally LMAO
Ya your right wazzup. This is viral.
If we stopped the tail dock ban nation wide on all breeds in just PA ... this will be a piece of cake.
JUST GET INVOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally write letters dictated and once spoken by the founding fathers ... LOL I bet they hate me.
People (in person) are Limited (LOL) outside home state personally, unless your @ a rally and anyone can purchase a permit for the day, if someone needs contacts for the Constitution and we the people ... just google your States Campaign for Liberty website. This could be stopped if you really want it to, with or with a Rally. The more it sits around, the more likely it will be passed on a "whim" with no public involvement. All this madness can be stopped, but it needs thrown off the table first.. before the next opposition. LOL I personally like to address the originator of the Bill ... and remind them of their oath of office and they represent me. Of course in my home state.
It's time to take her back people. Or we will loose our freedoms to choose life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I just want you to know also, a natural born ?, there are alot of lawsuits of military peeps not going to follow CIC orders ... it's interesting if you google. I think there's one coming up the end of January that's pretty serious.
Both sides need to get involved here, because this needs to be known. America stands for something damn it, the truth needs to be told..... you need to follow only 3 rules. 3 (three) 1, 2, 3. A, B, C. Rules to become President of the United States muchless dictate our Honored Military. People died for this Constitution and still think they are, he needs to show up with his papers in a Philly Court.
