God only knows what they put in the jerky.......maybe some nice melamine plastic......

Does anyone like Tilapia fish?

Most of it comes from China.  They are farmed in cess pools with lots of banned chemicals and antibiotics so that they can live in the unimagineable filth.

Enjoy your nice "light" fish.

Ecuador is the biggest exporter of fresh tilapia to the USA. So buy fresh tilapia and always ask the seller for the source.

Tilapia is a very hardy fish so antibiotics and medications are rarely used. It’s cheaper to kill the fish and make fertilizer from them than it is to medicate them. Furthermore it eats very low on the food chain and is less likely to contaminated by heavy metals.

I am a part owner in a tilapia farm in the Philippines.

Seafood has country of origin labeling (COOL).  I always check and do not buy many types of seafood I used to.  Farm raised prawns, or fish, from China and other places?  I don't think so!   Vegetables and fruit have COOL also.  Sometimes you need to ask them to go look on the box it came in after it's put out for display/sale.  Beef is finally beginning to do so.  However the big companies managed to combined Canada, Mexico, and USA into one label.  But it's a start.

I don't like fish much but I have bought fresh frozen Talapia for my dogs a few times. I'll pay better attention to where is comes from if I purchase again. I don't buy anything from China anymore.

I went to buy Juice for the Kids at grocery recently.  Juicy Juice is now made in China..  No thanks, not after the dozens of chinese children killed from their own food contamination. Little to No health standards in place to protect from contamination or corruption.

Regarding fish, Tilapia is an excellent fish. Similar to cod.. texture and taste are pleasing and not overbearing

I often Blacken it, with cajun seasonings in a frying pan with a little butter.
Mucho excellente

Our local vets are handing out fliers warning not to give the chicken jerky to your dogs. Its mucking up the kidney function ,especially in small dogs and pups. Its also messing up the glucose levels in your pets.It may not be marked as coming from China on the package as marketing is slick. However the vets have tracked it down to china.
