MOST DEPTS ARE STRUGGLING JUST TO BUY THE DOG TRAINERS DOG FOOD AND KEEP THE VET BILLS PAID FOR THEIR K9'S
MOST K9 HANDLERS ARE NOT PAID FOR ALL THE HOURS THEY SPEND IN PERSONAL TIME TO KEEP THEIR DOG READY, EAGER AND WILLING.....MUCH LESS PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A MUTT.
TAKES ALL KINDS TO FILL THE PAGES OF ADVERTISEMENTS.....MONEY TALKS BULL CORN WALKS...

That is not correct Wuzzup.
Unless the sire and dam are already in the CKC data base, you DO need a pedigree plus a permanent ID.
Also those foreign registrations/pedigrees have to be verified by AKC for US dogs and the Ahnentafel from the SV, presented for German dogs coming in.
US tattoos are not accepted as they are not AKC issued. Therefore, the dogs need to be ID'd again in Canada.
As for "what is registerable" , both AKC and CKC are purebred registries only, whether ugly or beautiful
