Can someone please tell me if these dogs are considered working line or show?

They are all West German, so german showline. I am near Chicago myself.

Yes, von Bullnger are pure show lines. They are also often the foundation dogs for other show breeders, too.

Bullinger's dog are not the same as American show lines.They might be the building block for Americans to ruin.They can and will work all day long.They may not be as ruthless as east ddr Czech dogs but they will do it all.And do it well..

Teela is not pure show...if you go back into her pedigree she is forward from Frie v Guggi and V Bodo v Lierberg, two higly tough and hard hard dogs.  Most people who breed off of Frie   had their hands too full...he is known for his drive.

There are other worklines so she is a combination...I didnt look at the top two pedigrees.   Behind  VA Zamb

V Lasso di Val Sole was bred to V Paet v Blue Iris   go back  behind her for Frei and  Bodo... 
Notice the nice straight backs from the second generation on back.

On the bottom of her pedigree are working lines also in the 3rd generation on back ,

They are a combination of both show and work    not a greater working lines than the lines behind Traceys lines...It depends which two dogs are mated.....I have a arminius out of Timo de la SERENA , that is a clown..I couldnt work him if someone paid me a million dollars.  another out of that same litter or line may be bred to a different female and vice versa and have 40 working dogs from the third generation on top or bottom and be a hellion.....
research the two that are being mated and look at lines and see whether you have a greater amount of work or show...
Also  ask to see work videos of the parents...get some advice from some top work  breeders....my showline in my great stud was SteffenHaus...Jane won top honors for years as top SCHUTZH BREEDING KENNEL BECAUSE SHE  PUT TOGETHER LINES  that could work .

other lines are softer..and not good hard courageous workers...takes a lot of study to see what is produced by the BULLINGER LINE....I KNOW RUSSELL OSBORNE TOOK NAX BULLINGER TO NATIONALS AND THERE WAS NOT A GREATER WORKER.....LOOK AT HIS PEDIGREE HERE ON OUR DATABASE.

She actually went thru three owners before I got her.

Keep in mind the Tina and I are here in Bullinger's backyard and see TONS of Bullinger dogs on a regular basis. I don't know where the "American lines" remark came from, as nobody was talking about American lines. But, oh well...

They are also the foundation stock for other show breeders too. That's where it came from.Taking a leap to American came from me.As there are alot of Bullinger's dogs in America,the stretch should not be to hard to follow.
