I personally wouldn't suggest Nutro. I remember the recall about it, and hearing about quite a few peoples GSDs getting sick, quite a few died, and even my dogs started to get sick on it so I switched to something else. I talked to Nutro rep at petsmart and she tried to push the food so much, and told me only the canned food was affected by it.....I disagree...and I wouldn't suggest Nutro.....As far as a food to suggest.I highly suggest Taste of the Wild, the one with Salmon in it. It has made my dogs fur incredibly soft...most likely from the omega 6 and 3 in it from the Salmon. My dogs seem to have more energy, and their stools are better. I know a lot of members on the database also like using this food. If you have a tractor supply you can get it there.....I'm not sure if Petsmart or petco sell it, but Tractor supply does and may some other members would know where else. I get a 30 lb bag for about 42 dollars. My female Husky is on it and she weighs 40 lbs, and only has to eat 1 and 1/2 cup a day to maintain her body weight. My male Husky is 60 lbs and eats 2 and 1/2 to 3 to keep his up to a healthy figure, not overweight.
