What are suggested protein/fat levels for GSD that are worked?

I prefer low protein/high fat. 24 protein/20 fat.

24/20 sound's about right, I don't belive in incrising protein %, I rather increase amount by which I will increase callories :).

When using kibbles the fat content is not always given on the label so what's the best way of supplimenting this?
I'm thinking raw would be best and we often supplement the hounds diet with chicken backs/wings or green tripe, but what sort of protein/fat content do these contain?
Thanks,

I would say tripe is connective tissue or pure protien. The wings are mostly the same connective tissue, bone and some fat, not sure of the ratios here.
The type of training you are doing and weather also have an effect on what ratios you should feed. if you need extra energy and warms, feed more fat.

The tripe we use doesn't just include the inner stomach membrane it also includes a lot of the outer content much of which is fat.
We tend to feed more tripe during the colder weather & have noticed his coat takes on a real extra gloss.
