Any suggestions on a lightweight, portable dog ramp for a truck? Also, if you can suggest a place to get one.

I have a Solvit telescoping aluminum ramp and quite like it. It's very lightwight compared to many others. Ordered it on Ebay for a great price, but most pet supply stores sell them as well.

I have the PETSTEP II and have been happy with it. The ramp folds in half for storage, has a non skid surface and seems well made. In the back of my pickup, I have a platform that my crates sit on and then slide my ramp under it. I don't recall where I purchased it but did a search and shopped for price/shipping deals. I paid just over $100 for it.

My last shep had degenerative myopathy so he was real nervous on ramps and would not go up or down them.
So I used a mounting block (real use is for people to get on their horses) basically 3 steps. I think rubber maid makes one I got it at a tack shop ( a place that sells horse stuff). That worked much better for him as he would take his time I would still have to help him but he liked it better.
And it was reasonable maybe 50.00 some of the ramps are expensive.
Not sure if that would work for you or your dog. Of course you then need to have room for it in your truck.
But just thought I would through it out there as an idea for you.
Good luck.
