Kool, that is great!! I am still using it too. Everytime I think of trying something else I can't decide on what could be better... I would try Acana, but can't find it around here. Still feeding mostly RAW though.

This is what we both knew anyway.  Orijen is the best kibble on the market period.

I'm still feeding it. Can't manage much RAW in  this $ crunch but wont bow down to a cheaper dog food no matter how hard times get.

Can you post a link to the study? I'd like to check up on the facts myself for personal reference.

Yes Larry

I have managed to find a source for Acana to feed the Pup on, The protein content is 33% as compared to 42% in Orijen Large breed Puppy, Fat about the same as is Calcuim etc

Once she grows up i will probably change her on to Orijen or a Mix of both they are the same company

Whist i am on the subject of Acana

Some may remember i tried My other Dog who has a Meat Allergy on the Acana Fish kibble to see if i could get him off the Pricy Hypo Allergnic Food

Well after giving it a real good go i had to admit defeat, His poop started to go soft again and you could see it in his eyes that the kibble was not going to work out,

So i had to go back to the hypo diet, he has been back on it only one week and is now back to his usual self

So thats it for me i have to pay what they ask for the kibble and something else will have to go in place of it

The dog is more important than things i may need

I'm glad to hear your pup is doing well on Acana.  I agree with you Orijen has too high a protein content for a young pup like Heidi.

What I fed before was Urban Wolf but you had to add meat and fish oil to it.  It is God awful expensive cost me $200.00 a month just for the Urban Wolf. But as Steve1 says it's all about feeding the dogs the best food possible at their stage of life.

It looks like I have finally found the final piece to my family. So I'm going to give the Acana a try.
