I will be out for awhile but, I have a question.  These big time breeders such as Bill Fleischerheim, are his dogs Showline or Working?  how can you tell?  I mean I was told by one of his buddys that my dog was a Showline but, all I see on their web is these titles that I thought were for Working Line.  Call me confused!

My dog does not look like the Working Line.  Actually he looks more like an inexpericnced back yard breeder thought he was doing the right thing.  Or just thought he was an expert.

Thanks,

again I will be gone for a few days but I will get back to this one.  Oh, and Happy New Year to all.

German showline dogs must still have the Schutzhund titles, show ratings, and breed surveys in order to be shown at the Sieger Show, etc. etc.

The main difference is that a lot of times at the National/World level "working" competitions, most of those dogs are from "working" lines.

Fleisherheim GSD's are German showline.....

Thanks for that info.

Another question is how in the world can these showline dogs compete in Schutzhund?  They seem like they have weak structure especially their rear legs.  They seem to drag when trotting.  Or is it just me?

I am asking these questions because I want to know all I need to know about the different GS breeds.  My mistakes have cost me hundreds of dollars in my choice of a gs puppy and I do not plan to make that mistake again.  Well actually that was not my choice but the breeders choice but, what is done is done.

Thanks,
