Sadly, I need to ask...Why? - Page 1

More often than not, I really don't care about the tit for tat that seems to run a muck on here. I do not read most of it, as it is not important to me, or not of interest.

I do need to ask why personal scraps and bashing has to be taken to the COMMENT section of individual dogs?  If your "beef" with someone is between you and them, why is it being taken to the comment section? IMO, That's just not right. Maybe I am wrong, but I always kind of thought the COMMENT section for each dog, was for updates, questions about the dog, breeder, location, or if you had seen the dog work, and tidbits of that nature. It never occurred to me to take any "Beef" I have with someone to comment section on an individual dog.

I see a lot of people commenting on dogs all the time. I look at the comment section most days to see if anyone is pointing out an exceptional dog, or if there are updates on certain dogs I admire. What I am finding now is I do not bother to look at some comments, because of the poster name attached to the dog. That is now a clue to me that I most likely am not going to find any information of substance, but individuals using another avenue to play their silly games. It is really too bad that folks feel the need to again, take a useful and possibly informative tool and ruin it for not just those of us who read those sections, but now for the individual dogs the game playing has affected.

I am dismayed, a bit, that I felt the need to bring my question and thoughts public, but I figure there are others who have to be wondering the same thing. I feel very badly for the dogs and the owners of the dogs that had inadvertently been brought into the fray.

I agree, I seen alot lately too in the comment section of a dog Pedigree. All the "beef" then there's me commenting how nice the pup or dog looks. Ohhh well.

Deeswolf, i am one of the guilty parties,and for that i apologise, also to the dogs owners in question. I think though i must point out that i love the user comment section, and leaving comments on some of the dogs. I made a comment on some dogs yesterday and was verbally abused for making the comments. One of the dogs owners actually made a comment herself, i do have a problem with one of the users making abusive comments, just a young boy. I have repeatedly asked them to PM me,but they would rather spout garbage on the board. I find it hard not to say anything back when comments are made on my own females, but i can assure you there will be no more from me. Once again, apologies. liz

so what's new? this site is always full of garbage. and it is very sad.

It is nice to see someone admit to something then step up and apologize. Well done. Maybe now some of the others who continue to play the game will cease. Otherwise, what they do, doesn't do anyone or any of the dogs they comment on any good.

How about the thought that as gsd owners we are all competitive..We all want and think our dogs are the best.We all want our dogs to win.We will not stop trying to have the best gsd in the world for our very own .We all have different ideas and reasons as to have the best dog in the world and as to how to get it..we all have our own thoughts on training and or showing.Sometimes we win but we always hate to loose..If we all agreed how dull would life be and what would we need to chat about..last but not least sometimes we all just have a bad day..  Oops one more plain old personal preferences as to how a dog should look  work or play..    KINDLY to you all wuzzup..
