ACANA Dog Kibble - Page 1

I mentioned on a thread the availablity of getting Acana Dog Food to feed the new Pup Heidi on when she comes to me around Christmas time

After a lot of looking i found a firm in Holland that sells Acana and Orijen foods

They have a shop about 40 kms from where ilive in Belgium, and after going there the very nice lady got me the Large Breed Puppy food of Acana, which i now have in readiness for the Pup

I also bought a bag of Acana Fish and Potato to try the Young Goran on, as you may know he has a Meat Allergy and i am feeeding him R.C Hypo food, But it is so expensivem

 And i thought i will try this fish protein anyway he has now had this kibble three days just Fish and Potato, and three days Prior half R.C and Half Acana

At the moment his stools are okay, if he goes on okay and can keep on with this Kibble i will be more than pleased to get him off the High Priced and I do not like R.C anyway so it may be a good giude to those of you who have a Dog with a similar problem to Gorans

Should his stools change to going soft and liquid then i will revert back to the Hypo diet but i hope not

The Lady at the shop said if i place a regular order, she will deduct 10% each time off the price so i will save 22 euros a month that way on the two bags of kibble, I hope it has a happy ending for young Goran

Steve, as you know, Fiona has a dog on the Purina prescription diet. She tried Brady on a salmon and potato brand, he did very well for a while. Brady did however go back to loose stools and his expensive diet. I am sure she will be interested to see how Goran does on his new diet, as the Purina is over £60 a bag, finding something cheaper that works would be wonderful, please keep us updated. By the way Steve, do we have to wait until xmas for more photos of your new puppy? liz

I think i posted the latest one of her i saw her about 8 days ago,

 Her Breeder went off to Malaysia last tuesday to do a ScHh Trial and help some people train over there, He is saying it is hot,

thats okay for him but i froze last night working outside training in the freezing cold until i left for home at 10.30 got home at 11.30 in the evening and could not get warm all night, wish i still had my old teddy bear

Then next week he flys on to New Zealand to train and do a Trial over there, He will not get back until two days before Christmas

His Wife has a lot to do with the Dogs so i cannot bother her, or take up her valuable time just to see how the Pup is getting on, because i know it is fine

The Pup is i think 7 weeks old today and i think the Vet is due to see them and i think the tattoo has to be done or maybe has been done

Yes, i will keep all posted on how Goran does on this Fish and Potato Kibble

For R.C i pay 85 euros for 14 kg bag, it is a rip off but if he has to have it then we have to pay,

but i will see how this Acana goes with him

Here is the last photo i took of Heidi, Our older sister  who was over here on holiday for a week or so, now gone home to England is holding Heidi and my brother is holding one of her nest brothers
