As we all know, people use different languages in Schutzhund.  Where can I find (download) a detailed list of all the words needed to go through Schutzhund?  Also, where can I find the updated rules for the BH, tracking, obedience, and protection, and the details without all the other non-related stuff?

You can order a rule book from UScA. http://germanshepherddog.com/members/rule_books.htm

Also, it doesn't matter what language you train in, as long as you are consistent, give commands in only one language in trials.

There is no need to purchase a lengthy rulebook when you can download rules from the DVG website. USA should also make the rules available through their website, but probably won't and would rather sell the rules.

There are some subtle differences in the rules between the three organizations (USA, DVG and WDA), but not enough to be worth paying money for, especially if you are new. Find a good club to help you understand the intricacies of the rules, because not everything is crystal clear or written down.

As for commands, what language do you plan to use? Email me and I can refer you to a bunch of web sites that also have commands, or provide you with a written list.

Surely what commands you use are immaterial you do not have to use the words EVERYONE else does!

If your word for sit is "bananas" as long as your dog understand the individual cue, what does it matter?

Question- If your word for sit is "bananas" as long as your dog understand the individual cue, what does it matter?

Answer- It matters to the judge!  LOL I lose enough points as it is. No point in giving a few more away trying to be different.

It doesnt matter how or what you say for each exercise as long as your dog completes the exercises in sequence in a trial. You are judged on exercises not the words that come out of your mouth.

If you become a member of UScA order the rule book.

If it matters so much to the judge, then perhaps the judge should not be judging.

what do you think judges do when judging abroad, or the Worlds etc?

They do not know all the languages, it is a simple matter for a judge to determine whether or not you have a) given a command b) tell if it is repeated and c) if it is obeyed.

Why make life complicated?
