VICTIM FROM FIRE CANNOT KEEP HIS
GERMAN SHEPHERD
SARGEANT IS A 9 YEAR OLD NEUTERED GERMAN SHEPHERD. HE IS VERY GENTLE AND SITS ON COMMAND. THE OWNER'S HOUSE WAS BURNED DOWN FROM THE RECENT FIRES AND HE HAS TO GO INTO AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY AND CAN NO LONGER KEEP SARGEANT. THE OWNER WAS HUGGING THE DOG AND CRYING WHEN HE LEFT SARGEANT ON 11/29/08. HE IS VERY GENTLE, LOVES PEOPLE AND IS VERY NICE FELLA. IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE CALL THE WEST VALLEY ANIMAL CARE CENTER @ (818) 756-9325. HIS ID#A0962236

He is a sweet looking old guy and I hope someone can take him.

Awwwwwww.... It just gripes the crap out of me to see an old dog in a shelter. How can people just abandon a dog they, or their loved ones, have had for years? No wonder I like dogs better than people. I hope that sweet boy gets the home he deserves.

said the owner went into an assistant living place, ones here will not allow any animals, I am sure if he could have kept him he would, I hope someone can help out this boy

Anyone know where Chatsworth is in Calif? My 12 year old german shepherd "sergeant" passed away and I have been looking for another large guy. He looks just like my dog and the fact that he has the same name, .... I am in Calif but by SF. I am calling tomorrow when they open, its says they are closed today. What a beauty. I have attached a pic of my Sergeant

SAMTHESHEPHERD: Chatsworth is close to LA. If you look on the shelter website under "looking for a dog", you can see a different pic of him, and he is gorgeous!!
