Did I read right? They will certify your dog without even seeing it?
Oh, yeah. They will send you a dog with 'advanced' obedience training with out you coming for training? Their form dosen't even ask about what type of disablity someone has or special training their dog would need.

Yup, this is one of the problems with the lax laws regarding Service Dogs. Anyone can say they have a Service Dog and if there is money to be made, someone will come up with a way.

if you do want to actually train a service dog check out http://www.topdogusa.org/ which is for real. i have no problem with the "lax laws" and i hope places like the one the op linked don't create complications for those who benefit from the existing laws. one of the many good things about top dog usa is not only do they help you customize the skill set that is trained but they also spend time discussing the responsibilities that go with the right for the disabled to take their service dogs with them where ever they go. for a disabled person to be able to personally train the unque skills they need their dogs to perform and then to freely utilize this specially trained service dogs in public is a great thing and should be respected and appreciated. a good service dog is worth his/her weight in gold because they can profoundly improve the quality of a disabled persons daily life and we should support this right whenever possible.

I certainly respect people's right to have and to train a dog for their needs, what I find strange is that a web site is claiming to certify your dog, without seeing or testing the dog. I am all for people to take their dogs wherever is allowed, this just seemed like a scam to me, a way for people to get around the ADA, and other rules, Rules that benefit disabled people.
To me that is going to do more harm for people that TRULY need these dogs in their lives.

absolutely places like the one you posted are exploiting a law designed to benefit a particualr group of people. there is no way to write a law completely free of loopholes, so people like this seek these holes out and find ways to profit from them while places like topdogusa.org help people, who the law is designed to impact, understand them to use the law wisely.
