I would ask your vet.. I think different breeds take a different dose.. I gave my 65 pound shepherd bitch 8 tenths of a cc daily (in her food) for 6 weeks..
I think you can also use it injectable.. every 2 weeks.. for 3 injections..
But I would run it by your vet to get the dosage correct for your dog.. that is most important.

one tenth of a cc per 10lbs is the correct dose no matter the breed it gos by there weight so your dog being 50 lbs would get five tenths of a cc per dose. your welcome!

Ivermectin builds up in the system and gives 'residual' protection over a period of time. Once its given a few months, it usually lasts a while. It also helps against ear mites.
2 doses (however much you use-if you base it from what's already been said-surely there's sources that tell the amount to give online somewhere depending on weight of the dog) 1-2 wks apart should definitely help your situation, then continue giving a dose monthly to prevent the condition happening again. A good thorough scrub bath a couple of days AFTER the initial dose with a mite shampoo would also help. Oatmeal will soothe the skin.
Ivermectin can have very negative side effects for some breeds, which is probably why you're not getting much response on this-no one wants the liability to tell you a wrong dosage and thus hurt/kill your dog. Ivermectin overdose signs are lethargy, sloppy gait(wobbly, like they've been sedated), and eventual death. It will affect any bred/pregnant female, so beware of strong ivermectin doses if this female is pregnant/being bred.

what kind of ivermec do you use? and there should be a description in it, on how much per pound you have to give, do the math! If you have the old med discription, look there, and convert to the new one.
The needs to be a discription on how much you have to give per pound, and that will be ur dosage!

Just be careful how you use it....
It can cause harm if not dosed out properly.
