To register with AKC in the USA, what is necessary.  I have a dog's "pink papers" with several names written on them and each signed with transfer and I have the letter from the SV on the original importer of the dog.

Do I need to send the pink papers to Germany to get her in MY name or just send the letter from the SV and the pink papers to AKC?

Thanks.

To  register with the AKC, you'll need to complete the AKC's Foreign Dog Registration Application, and send that along copies of the dog's pink papers and SV letter that certifies transfer of ownership.    I've done it twice now and have had no problems .  It's pretty straightforward.  The last time I did it it took about two weeks from when I sent it in to have my dog registered.  The AKC has an online pedigree search you can do to confirm your dog is in the system
