MY dog is 2 & a half yrs & has light mark in middle of noise, this happened about 5 months ago, he was fine when i bought him off the breeder. i have been told it's Winter noise & to use vitimin E but not done much good. anyone out their with some advice. thanks this is my first post as just recently joined up.

Thanks m zaki40 whats the reason for that, as i am using stainless steel dishes on my other dogs & they don't suffer this problem.

Technically called "hypopigmentation" (or snow nose, winter nose) it results from loss of sunlight, and causes the nose to fade to brown in winter; normal colour returns as summer approaches. Snow nose occurs mainly in light-coated breeds; the colour change can become permanent in older dogs. It is not associated with disease. |

Get rid of plastic food bowls and replace them with metal or ceramic bowls since some pets may be allergic to plastic. Plastic dish dermatitis can occur if the dog eats or drinks out of plastic or rubber bowls. It is triggered by a reaction to an antioxidant found in the dishes. |

mkennels most helpful, i don't use plastic food bowls so it won't that, but i will look into the vitamin B deficiency. By the way he has this winter nose all year round many thanks.

I use a product called Seameal, made by Solid Gold. You can do a google search for it. It helps my dogs keep their black noses.

I HAD SAME PROBLEM TWO YEARS AGO PUPPIES MUST HAVE SUN AND THIS PROBLEM WILL SLOWLY DISAPPEAR WHEN SUMMER FINELY ARRIVES
