Hi everyone, have been contacted about a breeding that could be great, or not. Have been looking for another black female. Hoping to get another Fax puppy. But this breeding bothers me due to, brother and sister from 2 different litters with same parents from both litters.

Would like to know peoples opinion on this breeding.

thankx ena

Hopefully this linworks, go to litter and click on A&B litter.

I went to the link and saw that litter C was line bred on Fax  but bred to differnt females. Yes, in the shepherd world that would be close but in other breeds and animals no. Why is it different? Another Taboo thing in the shepherd world. I guess you would have to know your lines and what they produce. What are their pluses and minuses. Are you willing to take that extra chance? What are you wanting from the puppy besides being black? Many people do this type of breeding with good results but  there is also bad.

It really does not matter what I or anyone else thinks, it is what you are wanting, Are you willing to take a risk ?

I checked the link real quick and off-hand, the A and B litter pairing looks fine.  C litter is too close.  I was told you never want the same dog in the first three generations of either parents' pedigrees.

The breeding is a male from A litter and a female from B litter. Would that not create a to close breeding? Sorry to ask but I don't want to get myself a dog that could be costly, as I already have one of them:) I like the lines used in the breeding but have known of people cutting it to fine. I believe these to be good dogs but am not a professional like some of the people that come to this site. It will be Fax 2:2 and Vonforell Amber 2:2 and so on.
