I have an 11 week old female. I did not notice when I got her that ne of her ears cocks inwards little. Does anyone have any ideas that I might be able to help her ear stand straight ? Her other ear is great. I have included her picture. Thanks

She is going to be just fine, give it a week or two and it will straiten by its self. If you are really concerned give her some good chewy toys, or bones and it will help.

Puppies ear usually start standing like that, it is nothing to be worried about. Also, if you're feeding Pedigree Dog Food that will make her ears stand very firm.

I fed my puppy a little raw meat, yogurt,....and gave her a soft jute that I kept in the container with the beef and liver treats. The smell of the jute made her chew it like crazy which strengthened her jaw muscles. Strengthening the jaw muscle more so made the ears stand. You have to work those muscles. (I supervised her with the jute). Her ear went straight up with no problem.

Thank you all for the advice. I was really concerned but now I feel a little more at ease.
Di Angelo... I have never heard of jute before. Can you please tell me what this is? I am willing to do anything to help her muscles strengthen. Thank you again for the advice.
Rainhaus... Yes we do go for walks in a big park that is not to far from me. It is alot of open land that has a pond in the far corner. She is very playful and very active. and the vet told me that she was fine. If you have anything else that you might be able to think that would help ....Please let me know. And once again I wanted to Thank you for the advice.

To answer this- My name is DiAngelo Jackson from Ft Leonard wood, Missouri. I do not own a GSD nammed AVON orStringer. But they sound like good dogs. I apoligize for not answering sooner but I have been hospitalized for a few days and bed rest for a torn ACL (right knee). I hurt myself training (US ARMY).
audandtina- this is where I get some of my JUTES from. Basically, they are used for strngthen a dogs bite. I use mine also as a reward. They love them.

Yes, your pup is going to be just fine! During teething they go every which way. A friend of mine is freaking out about her dogs ears. I keep telling her to leave them alone and they will stand. She insist on taping them! Knock on wood, so far I have never had a lazy ear on any of my shepherds and never had to tape anything! Leave them alone, yes they will stand :- }

At 11 weeks old, those ears are looking good!!!!!!! Both of my GSD's ears didnt fully erect until almost 4 months old. Just make sure you dont pet her ears, keep her lean, and plenty of exercise............they will be fine! Nice looking pup!!
