So I bred my dog, dont worry about quality, both dogs are fine. We did not have access to OFA etc... so we had a local vet take the Xray and access them.

Yesterday was the 10th day and the day I covered her. She was a first timer and he was experienced yet we still had some issues so we had a handler to assit with the mating.

Today is the 11th day. The drip had reduced a lot. A breeder siad that this is a good sign of her conceiving although I was under the impression that she will bleed like the normal cycle. I have re planned the 2nd mating for the 13th day.

When I pet her or rub her head, back or rear she stands to be mated (tail to the side)

I feed naturally cooked food. So I was advised to increase her diet to 1kg of minced chicken with equal volume of boiled rice (250gms raw) with a beef knuckle bone. i was also advise to supplement with Vitamin b & folice acid for the next 3 weeks.

From her neighborhood friends, they are not so interested in like the last time she was in heat. They would sniff her and thats basically it.

Advise would be great

if she's standing and "flagging" her tail as you describe, she's in "standing heat" and ready to be bred.  Be careful of the neighborhood dogs - I would suggest breeding her every other day until she is no longer willing to stand.  Skipping 3 days might miss her.

what do you mean you didn't have access to OFA?? you can mail films thru the post office, most folks have those.. dvds can be sent, emailed...

Unless your vet is extremely experiened in taking and evaluating hip and elbow conformation for all breeds, his opinion isjust that.... sorry.....not slamming but this is a very basic thing

Extra food is not necessary until after pregnancy is confirmed providing you are feeding a good diet... don't see the point of cooking.. why not raw?

I do not live in the US like most do so no access to OFA, yes the vets are good. Got them evaluated at the veternary faculty.

I would love to give raw but the risk of disease is very high as i am from a developing country

Hey at least he did take the x-rays, he did more than some people on this board. And yeah some vets might be  knowledgeable especially if they graduated from European vet schools. My biology teachers in middle school were more knowledgeable about dogs and cats and the way to treat them, nutrition requirement etc.  than my local vets. So lets not make OFA a holy grail. :).

But that statement about don't worry quality makes me think that the quality is not high. I hope you did your homework and didn't take the breeding lightly, remember that you might screw other people if you produce something not up to expectation, or the breed if the breeding will bring any unwanted traits.

Any way good luck to you. I hope everything will go well, and you will do what is best by you, your dog, the breed as a whole, and your future customers.

You can still mail them off meaning there is no place now that don't get mail, just download the forms from the ofa website, fill out your part and have your vet fill out his then you mail that with the money and films to ofa, they will mail you back the results

The point of sending the x-rays off to OFA is to have a recognized authority certify that the hips are good, not a single vet who may or may not have experience with reading many many many large breed dog hips.  And I agree, any place that has mail has access to OFA... so not sending in the x-rays is the lazy/cheap way out.  back 30 years ago I had pelims done by our local Vet who did LOTS of OFA films, and had him read them for me, but once they hit 2 years the X-rays go in so that I can keep an unbroken chain of generations of certified good hips.  Skipping this generation's certification diminishes the precieved quality of a litter.  Go ahead and send them in with the info signed for by the vet... You have nothing to loose.
