Here is a pic. of him (3 1/2 months) and here are his pedigrees...

First off cute puppy and the pedigrees is nice, the mom has a few of the same dogs that is in my bitches pedigree west german show lines, by pedigree sure but you can't go just by that alone
1st he of course you know this needs to be old enough then he should at least have his hips/elbows xrayed and sent to be ofa'd or penn hip to make sure he don't have ED or HD. also some will say a title to prove himself, something to look into for training to get a title on him

Mkennels,
Thank you for the compliment. I am beginning Schutzhund training with him. He is a very good tempered and smart puppy. I do plan on getting the ED and HD X-rays when he is a little older. Also, can you tell if he is an American line German Shepherd or German line?
Thank you.

He is perfect, right age (we will give him a step letter so he can mount a bitch), good structure (looks like a dog), perfect health (still alive), and what is the most important thing he has a cock intact and a set of balls :). Lets stud him right away.....
I got 4 months female for him, perfect height we should be able to skip the step letter to get him mounted. :)

Obviously I am going to wait until he is old enough. Yes my puppy has everything intact sounds like you are missing a brain!

With whom are you planning to breed him?
IMO, the breeding requirements for studs are much more stringent than for bitches.
I know that if I have a breeding female I will get among the best available stud. It is 50% of the genes of your pups and all it takes is to shop very carefully. These days one can use chilled semen AI, even.
For my American line, I bred mine with a champion with excellent hips and almost all red in his pedigree. He and his recent past have features that complement the minor faults of my female.
If I have a German working line, SchH 3 (or the best of whatever working title) and very good Koer report will be a must for the stud.
IMO

Sho Gun I was expecting to see a older dog stacked to be honest. So when I saw a cute puppy I had to question why you were asking if he is" fit for breeding". Yes snajper69 answer is funny but what are you expecting from us to say about a 3.5 month old? there are many.things that are going to change about this puppy. Also as Mkennels pointed out training and health is going to play a huge part in if he is "fit to be bred" .
As for a puppy he is very cute. Enjoy him and learn together and most of all have fun. Breeding should not be worried about at this age.
As for pedigree I did not look as I feel it is more important what the dog brings then the pedigree is.

Thank you guys for all of your answers.

you wont know if he is until he is older. as others have said he will need to be health tested and not just hips and elbows
as a stud dog owner you have a responsibility to test for as much as you can, if there is a reliable test for something do it !!
Eyes heart VWD but to name a few the more tests the better
i do a full blood test on all my dogs annually
then there is temperament and conformation
if all of these things are perfect, fine, but you must not be kennel blind
oh and don't expect to make a penny keeping a stud dog is a very expensive business so start saving up lol
Im sorry if I sound negative but I am sick of people taking an ok GSD testing hips and elbows and producing pups when there are sooooooo many in rescues all over the world.
anyway he looks like a nice pup so good luck with him
