Sally is still remaining stable, no rapid heart beat or deep breathing since 3am last night, still hasn't eaten anything which is a concern at the moment so taking some raw mince, chicken and ham to try and get her started, internal bleeding seems to be clotting now as before she had low red cells so blood never clotted, heart stable from cardiac arrest, any ideas on feeding, a thought about smearing honey and soup on her gums to see if this is possible to get her going. Any helpfull advice would be gladly appreciated, Thankyou all so much for your concerns, makes it all worth while.

Sally has had quite a time of it, glad to hear she is making progress. If your vet is not concerned about her eating try not to worry too much,as long as she is getting lots of fluids. when you think of everything she has been through it is understandable she won't eat.Hopefully Sally will let you know when she is ready for food, but there is definately no harm in trying her with nice tasty things.Ihave had dogs go without eating for well over a week, and i know it is soooo worrying, but fluids are most important at the moment. She will eat when she is ready,i have eveything crossed she makes a full recovery and wolfing down food shortly.BEST WISHES,AND KEEP US ALL UPDATED ON HER PROGRESS AND THE PUPPIES PLEASE. LIZ

Hi Tracy, i certainly will let you no, i'm gratefull for your prayers, thankyou, Liz i'm taking in what you say and just rang the vets, they have said she has taken some food from the syringe and have been hand feeding her and so far we have success, hopefully this could be the beginning of her recovery once again thankyou all, will be in touch soon.

I know it sounds silly but if one of mine is really poorly i make chicken stew lol and then I crush up wilkos doggy conditioning tablets for dogs and mix that in, but that may be too rich for her.
chappie is great also
it might help if she sees you eating and then you offer her a bit
the other thing I do is give Arnica homeopathic pills after any operation it aids recovery. esp after whelping
(oh and lots of calms pills for you lol)
have you got all the pups on foster Mommy's yet?

Update on the six little tiddlies that came to us last night.... getting in there on the "buttons" and making the most of lots of milk, and my two mums very proud of them already. Had to take picci`s today, as my week old fat dobber puuppy lay with its paw over the litte newbie, as if sleeping and cuddling... how daft are we, but its so lovely to have helped them, and my girls are loving it too - I think they are wondering if I am bringing any more, as their eyes light up when I walk in to them !
Great news re Sally, and as long as she is drinking of having fluids and under veterinary care too, I feel she will be fine, Will post the picci when downloaded from my carmer if Wendy and Sarah are agreeable to it. Mo - Mascani
